Process Paper Malik Allen and Terry Pettry | I-How we chose our topic We chose our topic from a NHD paper which our teacher distributed to us. The NHD paper had an immense lists of events that we could chose from. Since my partner and I were both intrigued to learn how Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney became so prominent, we decided that we would research the topic and find out. This began 6 weeks of research to find out how Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney became so appealing. The knowledge we gained was very interesting and exciting. II-How We Conducted Our Research For our research we decided to split the research two ways. I decided to get the secondary sources and the website while my partner, Terry Pettry, decided to complete the primary sources and the annotated bibliography. We decided this was the most simple approach, since we could just add our research to the website and Terry create the bibliography. III-How We Selected Our Category And Created Our Presentation Since my partner and I were more suited for a more automated venue to display our presentation, we decided to create a website. Another reason we chose to create a website is because we could easily make changes or correct our mistakes. After completing the website, I understood that upon receiving feedback from my partner, including his feedback would require minimum time and resources. This was the driving force that allowed me to make a quick, but high-quality website. To create a website worthy of earning an outstanding grade, I had to go through various website creators until I found a website company that was able to display my information and animations. I also reviewed YouTube videos to learn how to create websites. I decided that Yola was the best website to create our website. I was able to choose various styles and basically was able to create the website from scratch, resulting in the creation of a fun and personal website. IV-How This Relates To The NHD Theme Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney were the perfect pick to illustrate the NHD theme this year, “ Revolutions and Changes “. Mickey Mouse was one of the first sound characters in history which was unimaginable in earlier times. In the 1920’s, it was very bizarre to give an animal human characteristics, but Walt Disney brought life to this innovative idea. He changed the way we viewed adolescent media. In addition, he changed our thought pattern. Due to Walt Disney’s creativity, we are able to hear some of our favorite cartoon voices. The ingenuity and creativity behind Walt Disney are the driving forces which revolutionized cartoons, hence making Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney an excellent topic.
